Why EVN
As the owner, you see your horse every day: an indispensable starting point for focused diagnostics. To that we add clinical data — measurable, on the day itself, complementing what you already see and know. Together we complete the picture, so good care becomes even better.

The usual way
If forage is tested at all, the results arrive weeks later as bare numbers. Blood analysis, clinical signs, nutrition and your own observations stay separate pieces of a puzzle no one lays side by side.
And how we do it
We analyse your forage on-site, on the day, and read it alongside your horse's blood panel. We stand in front of the horse: we look, feel, measure and weigh — clinical examination in the full sense. You get the complete picture in a single visit, not weeks later and not in fragments.
Where our strength lies
1. The complete picture
NIR — near-infrared analysis of your forage — captures the nutritional input, the blood panel the metabolic output. Integrated in a single visit, not assessed in isolation.
2. A trend, not a snapshot
Quarterly monitoring builds a trend line, so drift is caught early — not at next year's annual check.
3. Grounded in evidence
Every protocol is tested against peer-reviewed, published research. We are honest about what the evidence does and does not support — and we communicate that clearly.
4. Veterinary nutritional medicine
Veterinary medicine and nutritional science are not separate worlds here, but one field. The clinic sees what is going on; nutritional science explains why — and what to do about it. Both approached from research. That is where the depth lies: medicine and nutrition reinforcing each other, for metabolically sound nutritional advice.
5. Four pillars, stronger together
Clinical examination, blood analysis, forage analysis and weighing together form the complete picture — a depth no single examination can match. The integration is the difference.
6. Independent
EVN sells no feed or supplements — so our advice is fully independent. Drawing on an extensive database of feeds and supplements, we find what truly suits your horse, with no commercial interest.
